The Team

 

KIM RAY

Kim was born a long time ago in Surrey and comes from a sporting/fitness background. Long distance running and playing netball for the county as a girl, dance and fitness as an adult. Kim was introduced to the line dancing world in 1997 and began teaching in early 1998. She opened Bluegrass Line Dancers in 1999. Kim is a grandma twice over and is very proud of her beautiful, very clever granddaughters, Megan Isabella and Liberty Hope.

Over the years Kim has had the privilege of working with some of the worlds top line dance choreographers/instructors/personalities, and has made many good friends along the way.

Kim was nominated for no less then 4 Crystal Boots; UK Female Choreographer, Rising Star, Intermediate Dance of The Year and Overall Dance of the Year for IT's Up To You which stayed at the number one slot for 6 months.


  PHIL PARTRIDGE

 

Phil was born locally and comes from a musical background (but don't ask him to sing!!). Phil was forced into line dancing by his wife Sue and hasn't looked back. Although Phil isn't taking a regular class at present, he is regularly booked for corporation functions up and down the country as DJ. Also, DJing at Kim's workshops and events.


Both Kim and Phil have a lot in common, they both love music and line dancing and both have the ability to teach in a fun and easy manner. The Bluegrass moto is fun, keep smiling and enjoy yourself. Within their classes they encourage good dance floor etiquette, applauding fellow dancers and are keen to promote individual flair and style.

 
  Rest of the Team

(Front left to Right)Sue Partridge, Lyn Willats and Lyn Ball. The two Lyn's have been with Kim since the beginning and can be seen most weeks at Kim's classes, particularly helping with her beginners class. The 3 girls are a godsend at her workshops, attending to the door, raffle and filling the tea urn!!! Fabulous..........
